Tutorial 04

I lost the original icon crop for this tutorial so tried to recrop as best as I could on the bigger image ;-;
Anyway...made in psp8, easily translatable, no curves :)

01. Duplicate the base and set to Multiply (28%).
02. Create a new raster layer & fill with #82CCF6. Set to Burn (58%).
03. Create a new raster layer & fill with #F6EFDB. Set to Multiply (100%).
04. Create a new raster layer & fill with #FB8449. Set to Soft Light (46%).
05. Merge all layers & go to Adjust > Hue & Saturation > Automatic Saturation Enhancement.
06. Set the Bias to Normal and the Strength to Strong. Skintones Present must be checked off.
07. Go to Layers > Adjustment Layers > Hue/Saturation/Lightness. Set the saturation to 13.
08. Merge all layers. Create a new raster layer & fill with #52BDFA. Set to Burn (16%).
09. Merge all layers.

Viola! New icon. :D

01. Duplicate base and set to Screen at 68%.
02. Create a new raster layer, fill with #F868AF and set to Soft Light at 64%.
03. Create a new layer, fill with #C0C0C0 and set to Burn at 48%.
04. Create a new layer, fill with #0A586C and set to Exclusion at 30%.
05. Create a new layer, fill with #8ABDF6 and set to Soft Light at 80%.
06. Duplicate the base and bring to the top. Set to Soft Light at 100%.
07. Merge all layers.

Viola! =) Enjoy. If you want to post your results ^_^

01. Duplicate your base and set to Screen 30%.
02. Duplicate again and set to Soft Light 30%.
03. Make new raster layer and fill it with #88DCFF at Burn 72%.
04. Make new raster layer and fill with #DCC1F5. Set to Soft light at 62%.
05. Duplicate the base and bring it to the top set to Soft light at 58%.
06. Make a new raster layer, fill it with #88DCFF, and set to 58% Burn.
07. Merge all layers and save.

01. Duplicate the base image and set to soft light (100%).
02. Create a new raster layer & fill with #A4CAF4. Set to Burn (100%).
03. Create a new raster layer & fill with #BA3704. Set to Soft Light (58%).
04. Create a new raster layer & fill with #08568C. Set to Overlay (100%).
05. Merge all layers and go to Layers > New Adjustment Layers > Color Balance.
06. In the boxes on the top, type 42 in the first box, 69 in the 2nd box and -37 in the last box. Click OK.
07. Merge all layers and go to Adjust > Hue & Saturation > Automatic Saturation Enhancement.
08. For the Bias, select More Colorful and for the Strength select Strong.

Merge all layers...and you're done.

01. Dont edit. Textless icons are not bases unless otherwise mentioned.
02. Dont hotlink. It ruins icons (they dont appear) for other visitors.
03. Dont steal.
04. My icons are NOT to be seen on Xanga, piczo, freewebs, greatest journal or whatever. Redistributing is forbidden. I'd prefer to see my icons on MBs (message boards) or MSN or LJ only.
05. Please comment if you take anything or need help. :) I dont bite.
06. When you comment with what you take, please be specific. :D

FAQ:
01. Do you take requests? - Feel free to request anything in terms of an icon batch theme or a tutorial. If I'm going to offer to make custom graphics I'll definitely make a post to let you know =)
02. Can I friend your journal? - Sure thing. Just let me know if you do (include a note in one of your comments) so I know and I can add you back.
03. How do I credit you? - For icons: write 'made by freedwings' or something similar in the icon keywords. For graphics: put a note in your user info. =)
